Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how App Dragon ("we", "us") handles information in the Poko app ("the app"). Poko is a cute, non-medical gut-health tracker. We built it local-first and collect as little as possible.

Poko is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. If something feels wrong, please talk to a qualified clinician.

1. What we collect

Your logs (health-related): the poop, meal, feeling, symptom and food entries you create. These are stored on your device first.
Cloud sync data: to back up and sync your logs, we mirror them to Google Firebase (Firestore) under an anonymous account ID. We do not ask for your name, email, or sign-in.
Advertising identifiers: the app shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers (including the IDFA) to deliver and measure ads — only as permitted by your choices (see “Tracking” below).
Diagnostics: basic, aggregated app/usage and crash information to keep the app working.

2. How we use it

To show you today's condition and surface gentle food/condition correlations ("why today").
To sync and back up your data across reinstalls/devices.
To run the points and rewards features.
To show ads that help keep the app free, and to prevent abuse of the rewards economy.

3. Tracking (App Tracking Transparency)

On iOS we ask for your permission before any tracking used for personalized ads. You can decline and still use everything in the app — ads simply become non-personalized. You can change this any time in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.

4. Third parties

We use Google services: Firebase (anonymous authentication, Firestore database) and Google AdMob (advertising). Their handling of data is governed by Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention & deletion

Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. To request deletion of data synced to our cloud, email us at info@app-dragon.net and we will delete the records associated with your anonymous ID.

6. Children

Poko is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do.
